Update from your local Neighbourhood Policing Team |
||
Dear Resident
Community engagement is a big part of the Neighbourhood Policing Team’s (NPTs) work. Officers and PCSOs are regularly invited to attend events and visit community groups to provide a visible presence, pass on advice and discuss local issues. Here is just a small snapshot of what they've been up to over the past few days: • A beat surgery was held at Long Chaulden Community Centre, to allow residents to discuss any issues with their local officers for the area, alongside councillors. • A ‘Cuppa with a Coppa’ event was held at Liberty Tea Rooms in #HemelHempstead during patrols of the town centre. • PCSOs Brown and Clements attended Haxters End in #Berkhamsted, alongside Hightown housing association, to listen to any concerns from residents and offer crime prevention advice. • Talks on how to spot and avoid common scams were given at a supported living complex in #PottenEnd and at the Good Companion Club in #Tring. Alongside the NPT, #Dacorum is also policed by officers who respond to emergency calls, a team of detectives who investigate crimes such as burglary, robbery and assault, and specialist units who work to tackle issues such as acquisitive crime and domestic abuse.
